Residency and Internships

Here at Texas Avian & Exotic Hospital we are actively training the next generation of board certified specialists through our nationally recognized internship and residency programs! We select candidates through the match program (Veterinary Internship & Residency Matching Program) and encourage you to submit an application!

If you are still in veterinary school (it must be a US accredited institution), you are welcome to apply for an externship during your fourth year. Our slots fill up quickly, so we recommend reaching out early in your veterinary program to increase your chances of being selected. An externship gives us a chance to meet you and evaluate your skillset. This will help set you apart from the rest of the candidates if you end up applying for an internship or residency position.
